Annual perception surveys 2026 published

The WeBalkans project has conducted opinion polls in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.

Fieldwork took place between February and April 2026, based on face-to-face interviews with representative samples of 1,000 people per country in the Western Balkans  and 2,475 respondents for Türkiye.

EU Guarantee Mechanism

European Investment Fund (EIF)

Category: SME Finance & Investment Support

Eligibility: Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania participate more directly; Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo participation is more limited
Sector Focus: SME financing, entrepreneurship, innovation

EIF supports SMEs and entrepreneurs through financial instruments, guarantees and investment support. It focuses on innovation, competitiveness and access to finance.

EURO MED

Category: Regional Cooperation Programme
EU Managing Body: Interreg Euro-MED Programme / European Commission
Eligibility: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro participate more directly; participation from other WB countries depends on programme scope and partnerships
Sector Focus: Mediterranean regional cooperation, sustainable development

EURO MED supports cooperation projects across the Mediterranean region focusing on sustainability, innovation and territorial development. The programme encourages regional partnerships and policy coordination.
