From 12-16 July, five Young European Ambassadors, Elif Su Çakmak, Esti Piranej, Ena Hajdarevic, Gjorgji Ristov and Dimitar Atanasovski participated at the Anibar Animation Film Festival, in the vibrant city of Peja, Kosovo. Throughout the festival, our team facilitated and supported a range of interactive activities. Each day began with a WeBalkans supported mixed media workshop, which combined animation and storytelling. As part of the workshop, YEAs facilitated the “Tree of Solutions” activity, encouraging participants to reflect on educational challenges and identify long-term solutions.
In the afternoons, we organised a moving installation, inviting festival participants and guests to reconnect with traditional childhood games from across the Western Balkans. During the evenings, we also attended animation screenings and other festival events, becoming part of the overall Anibar experience.
By combining creativity, dialogue, and community engagement, the YEA team transformed the festival into a space for meaningful exchange, inspiring young people to reflect, connect, and engage with European values while bringing the EU with YOU campaign to life in a creative and lasting way.
