Young voices at the heart of EU diplomacy: The Youth Policy Dialogue in Brussels
On 14 October 2026, Young European Ambassadors Stefan Atanasovski Trajkovic, Aja Gashi, Endi Saliko, Bogdan Malavrazić, Anđa Stanojković, Hana Kunić and Marija Blazević travelled to Brussels for a Youth Policy Dialogue with EU High Representative Kaja Kallas, at the EEAS headquarters. The meeting built on the earlier Youth Policy Dialogue in Budva, Montenegro, giving YEAs a meaningful chance to continue the exchange in person.
Since 2025, this dialogue continues to amplify young voices in EU foreign policy. This time, it focused on three key topics of interest: the EU as a reliable geopolitical actor and partner, foreign information manipulation and interference, and the role of youth in peace, security and reconciliation. During the event, YEAs shared their perspectives and ideas directly with one of the EU’s main decision-makers, showing how young people can actively contribute to the discussions shaping Europe’s and the region’s shared future.
This meeting once again proved that when young people are given a seat at the table, their voices are capable of influencing important policy conversations, from regional cooperation to security policies. And the EU is with them, all along, to listen, act and support. Because progress isn’t built by one alone. It is built together.
