Access to justice for all - Annual Work Programme 2025

Project Description

The project aims to improve access to justice for all citizens in North Macedonia, with a particular focus on vulnerable and marginalised groups.

It seeks to strengthen the protection of fundamental rights by improving the availability and use of free legal aid services, while also increasing public awareness of human rights and existing protection mechanisms.

In parallel, the project supports the integration of a Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) across different levels of policy-making and programming, contributing to more inclusive, rights-based and accountable governance.
Specific Objective

• To facilitate protection against discrimination of marginalised groups by providing free legal aid.
• To raise awareness and promote education on human rights issues.
• To strengthen capacities for the integration of the HRBA at all levels of programming and policy development.
Expected Results

• Increased availability and utilisation of free legal aid services among marginalised populations.
• Improved public understanding of human rights and mechanisms for their protection.
• Strengthened institutional capacity to apply HRBA principles in policy-making and program implementation.
