Kosovo je potencijalni kandidat za članstvo u Evropskoj uniji. EU je najvažniji politički i ekonomski partner Kosova, te glavni investitor i donator. Programi finansiranja i saradnja vidljivi su u mnogim oblastima – energetska efikasnost, razvoj infrastrukture, obuka za mlade u nepovoljnom položaju, kulturno nasleđe … i još mnogo toga. Mnogi izazovi ostaju, a potreban je značajan napredak u jačanju vladavine zakona, borbi protiv korupcije i u radu na čišćem okolišu. Podrška EU data Kosovu nastoji da se osloni na dosadašnji napredak Kosova i da omogući bolju budućnost za njegove građane.

Explore the future of Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) at the focused workshop on 25 April 2024, from 9:30 to 12:30, organised via Zoom. This collaborative event, hosted in partnership with the European Commission's DG NEAR and DG GROW, along with the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum, will highlight the essential role CRMs play in Europe's green and digital transitions. The workshop aligns with the European Critical Raw Materials Act, which promotes EU self-sufficiency and diversified global supplies. Participants will include business leaders, government representatives, and financial institutions from the EU and Western Balkans, facilitating a dynamic exchange of insights and opportunities within the CRM sector.
Youth4Regions is the European Commission’s initiative designed to educate journalism students and young journalists about the EU’s impact in their regions. The programme offers comprehensive training, mentorship with top journalists, participation in EU Regions’ Week, and visits to EU media headquarters and institutions, along with a chance to join European Commission press trips. All accommodation, food, and travel expenses are covered by the programme. Applicants should have a keen interest in EU activities, a background in journalism (through education or up to 2 years of professional experience), be citizens of the EU or neighbouring countries aged between 18 and 30, and be available from 5 to 11 October 2024. The application period is open from 8 April until 8 July, 17:00 CET. Interested candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in journalism to be eligible.
