Global Media and Information Literacy Week

24 – 31 October 2021

YEA join Global Media and Information Literacy Week

The annual Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week began in 2012 and is led by UNESCO in cooperation with the UNESCO MIL Alliance, the UNESCO-UNAMOC MIL and Intercultural Dialogue university network and other partners. The week-long event offers an opportunity for all stakeholders to assess the progress made towards achieving media literacy for all.

Running from 20 to 31 October, activities this year will include a campaign, conferences and youth agenda forums as well as the South-East Europe Regional Conference on Media and Information Literacy to be organised on 21 October. On the youth panel dedicated to media literacy the conference will feature Hadžera Selimović, a Young European Ambassador (YEA) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with YEA Public Diplomacy Manager Selena Tasic.

You can join the campaign creating content on social media with #ThinkBeforeSharing and #TrustInMediaSEE

More information on how to join the campaign is on the campaign web page.
