Young European Ambassadors join the marking of Europe Day this year in Brussels! Europe Day held every year celebrates peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of the historic ‘Schuman declaration’ that set out his idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe.

This year, Europe Day will be celebrated on 7 May and YEAs will be featured in the “Youth Village” together with the Directorate-General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR). On this day, YEAs will join the “Youth Debate” organised by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture. YEAs will join the football match in support of refugees worldwide organised by the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs.

In addition to taking part in the 7 May celebrations, YEAs from the Western Balkans will also meet their peers from YEA East to discuss the challenges and opportunities for youth in both regions, as well as future collaborations between two successful networks.
