To mark World Youth Skills Day, Europe House Pristina welcomed a dynamic group of young changemakers for an evening of inspiration and reflection. Held on 15 July, the event titled “My Skill, My Story” created a space where young people could connect through the power of personal experience, exploring how skills have shaped their paths in entrepreneurship, activism, education, and beyond.
At the heart of the event were the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) from Kosovo, who took the stage to share their stories. Through heartfelt and honest reflections, Adriatik Llugiqi, Edlira Dibrani, Ilir Kiqmari, and Visar Kukaqi spoke about the skills that have guided them on their journeys- skills that have opened doors, sparked ideas, and empowered them to take action in their communities. Their stories illustrated the vital role that youth can play in driving change, especially when given the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.
They were joined by Donarta Ukaj, representing the youth organization TOKA, and Diar Bekteshi, a passionate environmental activist. Together, the speakers created a diverse and inspiring line-up of voices united by a common message: skills are more than just practical tools- they are the foundation for personal empowerment and civic engagement.
As the evening unfolded, the audience heard how each speaker had transformed their skills into stories of impact, navigating challenges and seizing opportunities along the way. From grassroots activism to educational initiatives, their experiences highlighted the importance of supporting young people in developing their abilities and amplifying their voices.
Organized by Europe House Kosovo, this special event was not only a celebration of World Youth Skills Day, but also a testament to the creativity, courage, and resilience of young people across the region. It offered a powerful reminder that investing in youth skills is investing in the future, and that every skill has the potential to become a story worth sharing.
