On 18 February 2025, Europe House Skopje hosted the first official meeting between H.E. Ambassador Michalis Rokas, Head of the EU Delegation to North Macedonia, the Europe House team, and the Macedonian Young European Ambassadors (YEAs).
The informal networking event brought together 29 YEAs, who were warmly welcomed by Ambassador Rokas. In his remarks, he reflected on North Macedonia’s European integration prospects and emphasized the EU’s strong commitment to working with young leaders in the region. He encouraged the YEAs to carry forward their mission as youth activists, underscoring their role in transforming society by promoting European values.
To showcase their work, representatives of each YEA generation presented the profiles and activism portfolios of their peers. Dona Srdikj Lazarevska spoke on behalf of the first generation, Damjan Zlatanovski represented the second, Marija Burgieva highlighted the third, and Bojan Ristovski introduced the fourth.
The meeting not only affirmed the EU’s ongoing support for North Macedonia’s accession process but also reflected the broader strategy of fostering cross-border cooperation and regional development across the Western Balkans.
