On February 21–22, 2025, the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) in Albania hosted a two-day cultural and educational experience in Tirana for visiting students from the Natolin campus of the College of Europe. The initiative, led by YEA and College of Europe student Desantila Muriqi, aimed to introduce the guests to Albania’s rich history, culture, and the spirit of youth cooperation in the Western Balkans.
The first day featured a vibrant city tour, where YEAs guided the students through key landmarks such as the Pyramid of Tirana, Europe House, and Reja. Historical and architectural insights were shared by Rixhers Dëngo, while Stjuart Islamaj handled media coverage of the tour. The students were split into three smaller groups for a more tailored experience: Olta Shehu led a visit to the House of Leaves museum; Desantila Muriqi guided a tour through Bunk’Art 2; and Kleidi Memo introduced students to a local café for an authentic taste of Albanian coffee culture.
The second day brought an evening of fun and learning, as the YEAs teamed up with the French Embassy to organize a trivia night at “The Cube of France” inside the iconic Pyramid of Tirana. Using Kahoot!, the quiz tested participants’ knowledge on the Western Balkans, European institutions, and French culture,
offering questions in both English and French. The event gathered both the visiting College of Europe students and international guests, creating a lively, inclusive atmosphere.
The evening concluded with a networking session over refreshments provided by WeBalkans, offering a relaxed space to connect and exchange ideas.
Blending cultural exploration, education, and youth engagement, this initiative served as a warm welcome to the visiting students while showcasing the energy and cooperation that defines the Young European Ambassadors network.
