The EU supports many efforts that aim to improve the lives and future opportunities of young people, artists and creative industries, and sports participation in the Western Balkans. Cooperation and exchange is the common thread at the heart of all these initiatives.
The European Union Office in Kosovo has launched a call for proposals for the Kosovo-North Macedonia cross-border cooperation programme. The programme includes two thematic priorities: the first is encouraging tourism and cultural and natural heritage, and the second is protecting the environment, promoting climate change adaptation and mitigation, risk prevention and management.
The #BeInclusive EU Sport Awards 2022 aim to reward and give visibility to the best projects that have successfully supported inclusion through sport. Projects can include disadvantaged, marginalised or underprivileged groups such as individuals with difficult social, economic or educational backgrounds and persons with disabilities and/or health challenges and people of diverse cultural backgrounds. The awards will also support gender equality and contribute to peace through the integration of migrants and refugees.
