The Southeast Media Forum (SEEMF), the region’s largest media conference, took place in Podgorica, Montenegro, on 27-28 November, bringing together over 300 media professionals, diplomats, and policymakers from South, Central, and Eastern Europe. The event, organised by the South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO) in collaboration with major partners such as the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), focused on key issues in media and democracy.
This year, the YEAs took an active role in the conference, using the platform to enhance the visibility of our network and promote European Union values in the Western Balkans. The YEAs engaged in discussions with journalists, media experts, and policymakers, emphasising the importance of youth involvement in shaping media narratives and democratic processes.
The event served as a springboard for YEA Media Group activities, fostering collaboration between young ambassadors and regional media representatives. On 29 November, YEAs visited the local news outlet Vijesti for a study visit. The YEAs strengthened their networks, exchanged ideas, and explored potential partnerships with key media stakeholders, furthering their mission to amplify youth voices in the region.
