Building Bridges: Bridging the Gap in the Employment Rights through Youth and CSO Engagement (BB – YCSE)

Project Description
This action aligns well with the objective of the call for proposals, since it improves the capacities of CSOs in 10 municipalities, youth, youth organisations and groups, including vulnerable youth groups/communities, people with disabilities, the Roma community, and LGBTQ, on the promotion and protection of labour rights in Albania. The proposed Action directly strengthens the capacities of civil society and its role (in the context of complementary youth-related action) to promote a democratic society in general, while improving the social and economic context for the development of Social Labour rights approaches.
'Building Bridges: Bridging the Gap in Employment Rights through Youth and CSO Engagement (BB – YCSE)' strengthens the role of youth and civil society organisations (CSOs) in promoting social and labour rights in Albania. Implemented by Qendra e Studimeve dhe Zhvillimeve (Studies and Development Centre) in partnership with Shoqata KREO and Associazione RE.DU – Rete Educare ai Diritti Umani, the project focuses on 10 municipalities, supporting vulnerable young people aged 15–29, youth organisations and local institutions.

The action enhances knowledge, awareness and monitoring of labour rights, particularly regarding discrimination and access to employment. It builds the capacities of CSOs, youth groups and local authorities to advocate for social labour rights, monitor violations and engage constructively with employment offices and labour inspectorates. Through research, toolkits, sub-granting, mentoring and awareness campaigns, the project contributes to a more enabling environment for youth participation, improved labour rights protection and stronger civil society engagement in alignment with EU accession Chapter 19 (Social Policy and Employment).
