The “Kultura pRESPA” project supports the conservation and promotion of the cultural, natural, and living heritage of the Prespa Lake area through the establishment of a Municipal and Multicultural Centre in Resen. The initiative foresees the restoration and revitalisation of the historic “stara” firehouse, transforming it into a community-oriented cultural hub dedicated to education, creativity, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable local development.

Implemented through international cooperation between institutions and organisations from North Macedonia, Greece, and Albania, the project promotes participatory governance and stronger cross-border cultural collaboration. The Centre will provide space for cultural events, exhibitions, workshops, training activities, co-working initiatives, and educational programmes focused on preserving and promoting Prespa’s heritage and traditions.

The action also contributes to strengthening cultural tourism and community engagement through the establishment of a cultural information point and documentation centre. By connecting environmental protection, cultural heritage, and local development, the project aims to enhance social cohesion, support local artists and artisans, and create new opportunities for youth and cultural operators in the Prespa region.
