Kosovo je potencijalni kandidat za članstvo u Evropskoj uniji. EU je najvažniji politički i ekonomski partner Kosova, i glavni investitor i donator. Programi finansiranja i saradnje prostiru se kroz mnoge oblasti. Tu su energetska efikasnost, razvoj infrastrukture, obuka za mlade u nepovoljnom položaju, kulturno nasljeđe… i mnoge druge. Prisutni su još uvek mnogi izazovi, a potreban je značajan napredak u jačanju vladavine prava, borbi protiv korupcije i radu na čistijem okruženju. Podrška EU Kosovu nastoji da se nadogradi na dosadašnji napredak i stvori bolju budućnost za njegove građane.

Youth4Regions is the European Commission’s initiative designed to educate journalism students and young journalists about the EU’s impact in their regions. The programme offers comprehensive training, mentorship with top journalists, participation in EU Regions’ Week, and visits to EU media headquarters and institutions, along with a chance to join European Commission press trips. All accommodation, food, and travel expenses are covered by the programme. Applicants should have a keen interest in EU activities, a background in journalism (through education or up to 2 years of professional experience), be citizens of the EU or neighbouring countries aged between 18 and 30, and be available from 5 to 11 October 2024. The application period is open from 8 April until 8 July, 17:00 CET. Interested candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in journalism to be eligible.
