Veronika Gijovska

My name is Veronika and I am an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University St Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. As a young activist that is eager to contribute to the society we live in, I actively participate in initiatives and network with other like-minded people. Therefore, I can say with confidence that the flaws of this region are changeable and that we are quite able to create a better living place for ourselves. My work so far included the topics of human rights, health and well-being, including mental health. The primary, most important goal of a healthy growing region is to strive towards providing these to everyone, without exception.

Currently, I am a volunteer at the Youth Centre in Veles and a co-leader at the Red Cross Unit, positions that revealed to me the fact that there are plenty of people ready to act if challenged. Hence, I am grateful to be a Young European Ambassador and I am looking forward to the opportunity to use this readiness and enthusiasm even more.
