HUMAN RIGHTS, EU INTEGRATION
I am Anđela Radulović, a 22-year-old student from Montenegro. I am finishing my Bachelor in Law at the University of Donja Gorica, where I am also about to enrol in LL.M. programme. During the first year of my studies, I have worked in one Montenegrin NGO, that helped me develop important time management skills.
I have spent a semester in the USA, at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire on a Global UGRAD scholarship. This exchange helped me to determine some important personal and professional goals and was also an important step in stepping out of my comfort zone. I had a chance to learn from very successful professors in the fields of Politics, International Law, Criminal Justice etc. This scholarship was a great cultural exchange experience as I have learned how all the differences make this world a better place, and the importance of being empathic and understanding.
For the past two years, I have been an intern in a lawyers’ office, where I continued to gain practical legal experience and got a full understanding of Montenegrin justice system. During the last year at my University, I have been part of University Legal Clinic. This summer, I have participated in International Summer School at the The University of A Coruña, as one of ten scholarship receivers from the whole world, where I have attended International Courts and Tribunals course. As a student of law, I truly believe in the importance of the rule of law and EU values.
