One of the core values of the Young European Ambassadors Network is environment protection and care about our ecosystem. This year is the third time since setting up the network, that YEAs take an active part in the #EUBeachCleanup worldwide awareness-raising and ocean activism campaign to mobilise the planet against marine pollution.

In 2023, the International Coastal Clean-up Day will be held in North Macedonia on the shores of the Prespa Lake on 17 September, together with DG NEAR, the EU Delegation in North Macedonia, NGO Go Green and other volunteers. We will gather on this occasion to send a message of unity and raise awareness about our environment, by cleaning the designated area and learning more about the Natura 2000 network.

The #EUBeachCleanup is a campaign organized by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), with the EEAS and the United Nations.
