Agon Rexhepi

I am Agon Rexhepi, a human rights activist and a writer from Prishtina. I am currently studying Sociology at the University of Prishtina. I always try to use my abilities and privileges for a more democratic and inclusive society. Thus, my work mainly focuses on the rights of marginalized groups such as LGBTIQ+ persons, Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, women, and other vulnerable and underrepresented groups through advocating and lobbying. I try to raise awareness of diversity and equity in my writing too. My passion for writing and sharing my thoughts has inspired me to write numerous articles and blogs for local and international platforms. I am also immensely passionate about queer culture and, as a result, I am the co-founder of the queer collective ‘Hyjneshat’ (‘Goddesses’). Besides my engagements on human rights, I am also very interested in transitional justice, peace, and environmental issues.
