EU funding opportunities in Kosovo | EU projects in Kosovo | WeBalkans

Kosovo*

Kosovo is a potential candidate for European Union membership. The EU is Kosovo’s most important political and economic partner, and top investor and donor.

Funding programmes and cooperation extend across many areas – energy efficiency, infrastructure development, training for disadvantaged young people, cultural heritage…and much more. Many challenges remain, and significant progress is needed to strengthen the rule of law, tackle corruption, and work towards a cleaner environment. EU support to Kosovo seeks to build on progress so far and create a better future for its citizens.
* This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
