In September, Young European Ambassadors gathered across the Western Balkans to welcome a new cohort who officially joined the network at the start of the month. Hosted in Europe Houses and other local venues, the meetups brought together familiar faces and newcomers for a warm introduction to what the community is about: youth leadership, cross-border cooperation, and telling a shared European story.
Rather than a simple hangout, each meetup worked like a friendly orientation. Experienced YEAs shared how the network functions day to day: planning events, partnering with local organisations, creating content, engaging schools and communities, while newcomers asked questions, met future collaborators, and found their place in working groups. The conversations were practical and encouraging: how ideas move from a first message to a real activity, where support is available, and how every skill set can contribute.
The mood was welcoming and forward-looking. Between reunions and introductions, teams sketched first outlines for the autumn: project visits, civic dialogues, creative campaigns, and cross-border moments that spotlight youth voices. Not every gathering looked the same, but the message was consistent: you belong here, and your voice matters.
With the September meetups wrapped, the new YEAs are already plugged in and the calendar is filling up. The network moves into the season with fresh energy, clearer roles, and a shared commitment to keep connecting people and places across the region- one city at a time.
