EU Commission launches third assessment of civil society in Western Balkans and Turkey

The European Commission, via DG NEAR and the EU TACSO 3 project, has launched the third annual assessment of its Guidelines for EU Support to Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey (2021–2027). The 2024 Civil Society Survey aims to capture insights from CSOs to analyze sector developments since 2021. Findings will inform policy improvements and funding strategies to better address regional needs. Highlighting civil society’s key role in participatory democracies and EU integration, the Commission urges wide participation, stating, “Your voice matters.”

Survey Details

  • The survey, available in English and all regional languages, takes approximately 25 minutes to complete.
  • It is divided into four sections with predominantly closed-ended questions, allowing participants to save progress and return later if needed.
  • The deadline for participation is 29 January 2025.

CSOs are encouraged to participate by accessing the survey, available in their preferred language.
