#YEStoYEA
Our YEA, Suhel Ahmet, had the opportunity to represent our network at the Janjevë/Janjevo Fair, organized by the European Union, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports, and UNDP Kosovo. The fair celebrated the village’s rich cultural heritage and showcased its vibrant community.
EU Ambassador Aivo Orav, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Minister Hajrulla Çeku, and UNDP’s Nuno Queiros attended, engaging with 30 participants who proudly shared their crafts, artisanal products, and local cuisine. During the event, a beautifully restored house was unveiled, highlighting the ongoing efforts to preserve and enhance the village’s historical and cultural value.
In his remarks, Ambassador Orav stressed the EU’s dedication to empowering local communities, ensuring that Janjevë/Janjevo can continue to grow both economically and as a cultural landmark. It was inspiring to witness firsthand how this initiative is helping shape the future of Janjevë/Janjevo, bringing the community closer to becoming a thriving tourist destination.
Suhel says `Being there as a YEA, I was proud to contribute to the ongoing efforts of strengthening cultural ties and promoting sustainable development in Kosovo.`
