As in every year so far, our YEAs have joined the marking of the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence, a global campaign to combat gender-based violence and promote human rights.
In a campaign aiming to raise awareness of the negative impact that violence and abuse have on women and children, and to work towards permanently eliminating abuse from society, our YEAs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia have actively participated in local activities to support this important initiative.
In North Macedonia, YEAs joined activities in Veles, where the exhibition “Scars of Resilience, Voices of Hope” was showcased. Created by a young artist, Martina Spasovska, the exhibition provided a platform for the Young European Ambassadors to engage in discussions with the artist about how youth are contributing to the protection of human rights, particularly in the context of ending violence against women and girls.
On the other hand, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, YEA Arijel Kurtagić participated in the “Voice Against Silence” initiative, implemented by UN Women and the Youth Council of the City of Cazin.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the campaign included numerous exhibitions, one of which featured the participation of Arijel, who wrote a text titled “Say That We Are Not Guilty” for this occasion.
