From April 17 to 19 in Herceg Novi, YEAs Helena Stanković, Daria Jevtić, and Selma Teskeredžić-Krkbešević participated in the FemPower conference – an insightful event that brought together prominent women leaders from across the region, providing insights into business leadership, gender policies in practice, and the challenges of imposter syndrome among women.
The event also featured a special panel powered by WeBalkans, titled “Future of the region is female.” During the discussion, YEAs shared their perspectives on leadership, outlined their vision of female leadership, and highlighted the social and institutional reforms needed at both national and EU levels to ensure that young women feel supported in building their careers across the Western Balkans. The discussion was moderated by Stanislava Marojević and also featured a special guest Marija Ognjenović, who addressed the role of media in promoting freedom of speech, as well as the risks women face on social media.
Beyond the discussions, the event offered valuable opportunities for direct engagement with speakers and for building professional connections. For YEAs, an important highlight was the genuine sense of openness and solidarity among women, as a shared commitment to uplift, support, and champion one another.
