Ignita Forum: Towards a common future for the EU and Western Balkans

From 10-12 October 2025, Prizren welcomed for the very first time the Ignita Forum, a new platform aimed at connecting civil society, policymakers and young people to jointly explore and foresight about the Western Balkans’ European future.

This year’s theme “On the Edge” examined the political, social and technological thresholds for the EU integration of the Western Balkans and led to the launch of the Convergence Dashboard, a groundbreaking data driven tool for measuring the development gap between the Western Balkans and the European Union.

YEAs Flori Imeri and Mina Milović, proactively contributed to the forum’s discussions on regional cooperation, innovation, and the European integration process. Moreover, they connected and built intercultural robust partnerships with other young professionals and policy experts from across the region. These exchanges enhanced their knowledge of youth agency, digital inclusion and green transition, empowering them to design and implement more efficient community-centered initiatives for cross-sectoral dialogue on regional development.
