International Day of Women in Diplomacy
“Diplomacy and Culture”
The recent event hosted by the Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD) featuring Ms. Mamica Toska, Director of Protocol at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, was highly informative and formative for our diplomatic persona. The discussion touched upon several points of professional and personal interest in the life of a diplomat.
Representing our youth network, Lori Gjoni, a primary care pediatrician, and Migena Lika, a pharmacist, engaged actively. Each posed a question to Ms. Toska. Lori proposed a futuristic idea regarding our diplomatic structure as European representatives, suggesting incorporating a diplomatic element focused on healthcare systems and negotiation strategies. This integration aims to facilitate access to healthcare services for Albanians in European countries (diaspora and visitors from Albania).
Migena was warmly encouraging in her question, seeking advice for aspiring young diplomats from Ms. Toska, who responded positively and collaboratively throughout the diverse meeting. Participants included educators, youth representatives, diplomatic title holders, and students, all contributing to public interest representation.
The event, held on June 24th at 16:00 at the Prime Minister's Library, exemplified a blend of insightful dialogue and forward-thinking ideas in diplomatic circles. Ms. Mamica Toska's presence enriched the discourse, offering valuable insights into her successful career path and providing guidance to future generations aspiring to join diplomatic life.
Moreover, the event coincided with International Women in Diplomacy Day, adding significance to the celebration of women's achievements in this field.
