Getting started Who can participate?

You do not need to be a professional photographer to be eligible. The message behind your photo is what matters!

Call for Action

Getting started Which message behind the photo?

The heart of this contest lies in the message your photo conveys. As an integral part of European identity, sport is valuable in strengthening community ties. The same values apply to the EU integration journey in the Western Balkans: believing in a shared goal, working as a team, and support each other to achieve success.
Your photo should send a message of sport as a symbol of inclusion, unity and partnership. Additionally, we also invite you to think of sport in broader terms: perseverance, respect, prosperity, EU enlargement, peace-building, and cultural cooperation.
Remember, this is not about professional photography or technical perfection—it's about the strength of your photo and clarity of your message.

What’s in it for you?

Once the Contest ends, our Jury will vote on 18 winning photos – 3 from each of the Western Balkans entities.

These 18 winning photos will then be exhibited on a unique traveling exhibition through 6 towns in the Western Balkans, in collaboration with the Europe Houses. Depending on where you come from, you will be invited to attend the exhibition openings.

As the exhibition tours in the Western Balkans, the public will have the chance to vote for their six favourite photos on webalkans.eu.

The six finalists, chosen by the public, will win an exciting trip to Ljubljana Sports Festival for the grand finale!
