International Relations, Human Rights
“I’m Valentina Ostojić, a political scientist and activist currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana. My academic journey began with undergraduate and specialist studies in International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Montenegro. Along the way, I had the privilege of being an exchange student at Heidelberg University in Germany and an academic fellow at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the United States.
Throughout my academic career, I’ve been honored to receive recognitions such as the Award for Best Undergraduate Students, a double scholarship from Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), four scholarships from the Ministry of Education in Montenegro, as well as the BOLD scholarship from the State Department. During my high school years, I was deeply passionate about debate, and I’m proud to be a member of Mensa Montenegro.
Professionally, I strongly advocate for multidisciplinarity, excelling in research methodology, statistics, and nonprofit organizations. My interests center around EU integration, anti-corruption politics, and socio-economic policies, with a particular focus on their impact on youth.
I speak Montenegrin, English, and Slovenian fluently, and I’m currently learning German. Since 2020, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Young European Ambassador.”
