Milica Okiljević

My name is Milica and I am a student of Political Sciences. I have been engaged in social activism from a young age and I believe in strong community engagement. I have volunteered in a Home for Neglected Children, which was a huge experience for understanding the importance of community and support. That is one of the reasons why I want to contribute to my society and region. I have also participated in cultural exchange in Italy for almost 5 months. Exploring other cultures and being able to connect with different lifestyles and new people inspired me. I will strongly advocate for the importance and respect of every culture in the region and in general. Leading local theatre workshops focusing on intercultural understanding and acting contributed tremendously to developing my communication skills.  I truly believe that good communication can resolve many problems and help us improve mutual relations and maintain peace.
