EU integration, Environmental protection, Human rights
My name is Marija Blažević. I am 23 years old and I come from Montenegro. I am currently a master’s student in the International Law programme. I have been a youth activist and volunteer since elementary school. As the Local Committee President at AIESEC Montenegro, I led a committee organising a number of projects related to environmental protection, entrepreneurship, dialogue, media literacy, young people – all connected to UN SDGs. I participated in local, regional and international projects, including those organized by the EU, Council of Europe, and Erasmus+, one of the most important being the Peace and Advocacy Camp. It highlighted the importance of reconciliation and active involvement in the process of change as well as learning how to deal with what we have been left with and going for a change of aspects that are harming all of us.
I stand for raising awareness about the importance of dialogue, critical thinking, respect for human rights, and the inclusion of young people in decision-making processes. I believe in young people, our strengths and ideas, and I am sure that we will improve this region, connect it and make it better, as we make it better every day.
