International relations, human rights
Hajdana Todorović is a Psychology student at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, originally from Podgorica, Montenegro. After completing the A-Level programme in England as an Academic Scholar, she continued her academic journey in Italy, further developing her international outlook and intellectual curiosity. Her studies reflect a sustained interest in the intersection of psychology, human rights, and international relations, particularly in understanding how institutions cultivate trust, protect dignity, and sustain democratic legitimacy. During her internship at the Center for Social Work of Montenegro, she worked alongside dedicated professionals committed to supporting vulnerable individuals and families. This experience strengthened her respect for public institutions and deepened her appreciation for the human dimension of policy, care, and social responsibility.
Hajdana regularly travels abroad to participate in international conferences, youth forums, and policy dialogues. From NATO conferences and international security and human rights forums, including the Youth Mediterranean Dialogue in Madrid, to regional and European policy forums focused on governance and institutional reform, she participates in spaces where diplomacy, public policy, and democratic accountability are critically examined and advanced. These experiences have refined her analytical thinking, cross-cultural communication, and ability to contribute thoughtfully to complex political discussions.
She plans to pursue her graduate studies abroad, continuing her education outside Montenegro in the fields of international relations, human rights, and politics, with the long-term ambition of working within the United Nations system. As a Young European Ambassador, she hopes to serve as a bridge between European institutions and young people in the Western Balkans, fostering meaningful dialogue so that European values are experienced not as abstract principles, but as lived realities that shape everyday opportunities and rights.
