ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, EU INTEGRATION
My name is Ana Stambolic and I was born and raised in Uzice, Republic of Serbia. After graduating high school in Germany at UWC Robert Bosch College, I enrolled Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where I pursued a double major in Political Science (IR concentration) and Human Rights Studies.
During my junior year as a Trinity College student, I was a visiting student at Oxford University, Mansfield College, where I focused on acquiring an in-depth understanding of EU Politics. I completed an internship in the Office of the US Congressman John Larson and the Serbian Embassy in Washington, DC. I have been one of the leaders of the Organization of Serbian Students Abroad, and I am the Executive Director of the Belgrade Peacebuilding Institute. I am also this year’s recepient of the Davis Project for Peace Award and I have organized a first regional conference of students studying abroad in Belgrade this past summer (“Ex-Yu Leadership Conference: Networking for Peace”). Currently, I am a master’s student at Yenching Academy, Peking University, where I pursue the Politics and International Relations track and focus on examining Sino-EU relations.
