Alek Barović

My name is Alek Barović and I have a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Montenegro. I’m currently working towards my second master’s degree in NOHA International Humanitarian Action at the University College Dublin as an Erasmus Mundus Scholar. During my studies, I was a research student at the University of Zagreb and Masaryk University in Brno. In 2021 I was elected as a member of the Mainboard of the Social-democratic party of Montenegro. I write a weekly column for Portal Analitika, a Montenegrin online media. My future plans are to continue my education at PhD level. My fields of research are genocide studies, mass atrocities, nationalism, extremism and 20th-century Montenegrin political history.
