Ademir Ćosićkić

I see myself as a visionary engineer and business-minded individual with a passion for social activism and sustainable development. As a Young European Ambassador for the Western Balkans, I am dedicated to promoting intercultural dialogue and cooperation. With a background in Chemical Engineering and Technology, I have experience on working as an engineer in the chemical industry. I was selected as a Climate Connection Fellow by Das Progressive Zentrum, a Berlin-based think tank, and supported as a future climate leader from South-Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans. I have extensive experience in the NGO sector and I showed commitment to making a positive impact in his community through volunteer work and social activism. I have gained extensive informal education and experience in the non-governmental sector, where I have been active since 2016. I volunteered and participated in numerous projects, conferences, and festivals such as BH Engineering Weeks Tuzla, the Tuzla Kids Festival, and the Festival of Contemporary Women in Tuzla. I was also part of three ERASMUS+ supported short projects held in Portugal, Germany, and Croatia. i have experience working in the elections sphere for two election cycles as a long-term observer for ‘Koalicija “Pod Lupom”’ and contributed to better, fairer, and more democratic elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have been a volunteer and youth worker on projects supported by World Vision Bosnia and Herzegovina, mostly facilitating Life Skills workshops for kids and youngsters. During my career as an activist, I have realized that only through inclusion, engagement, and proactivity can things change for the better on individual pathways and at collective levels. My business mindset comes from experience in running an eCommerce business, including sales and digital marketing. Regarding hobbies, I am undergoing sailplane piloting education. Combining my technical expertise, social impact experience, and business mindset, I am eager to collaborate with like-minded professionals and organizations to make meaningful progress.
