No, there is no impact. This is because the whole application and selection process is taking place online. On the contrary, your participation, activism and enthusiasm can only inspire youth all over the Western Balkans to be drivers of positive change and productive work online.

You may leave the project, subject to the provisions in your Volunteer Agreement.
No, we do not require a formal certificate. Your English proficiency will be assessed based on your video and your application form and should correspond to the Common European Framework Reference for Languages B2 and above. In the event that the YEA project team concludes that your English language proficiency does not match that expressed/recorded in your application, it reserves the right to disqualify your participation.
No, ‘EU travel experience’ only refers to travel undertaken for educational purposes, not leisure.
The Young European Ambassadors initiative is committed to diversity and attracting candidates from all backgrounds. In particular, we would like to encourage young people who may not have had previous opportunities to take part in EU projects to apply for YEA. Therefore, your attendance of the above-listed events will not reduce your chances to become YEA, but the advantage will be given to your peers with less experience in training and exchange opportunities.
Moderate skills are required as you will be doing much of your activism via social media and online tools
Yes – Facebook and Instagram (open profiles) are required, Twitter is an asset and other networks are optional.
The Volunteer Agreement is a mutual agreement between the participant and the YEA project team setting out all duties and promises on both sides. The 60 selected members of the YEA Network are required to sign the Volunteer Agreement. This Agreement is not legally binding and may be terminated upon mutual consent.
The 60 selected members of the YEA are introduced to each other on the orientation session, where they receive a welcome information pack, an orientation session for communication tools used as a YEA, along with a plan and programme detailing their participation in the project.
