Since its launch in 2020, the Young European Ambassadors Network has grown to become the largest communication network of young people in the Western Balkans region. Over the past four years, YEAs have successfully organized events, led activist campaigns, championed important youth causes, acuired new skills and knowledge, and fostered meaningful connections with their peers. YEAs built bridges everywhere they went, made lasting connections, and consistently prioritized peace-building across all its activities.

In light of the European Year of Skills, WeBalkans is excited to announce the upcoming YEA Summit, scheduled to take place from 8-9 December 2023 in Budva, Montenegro. This summit presents a significant opportunity for YEAs to engage with distinguished speakers such as Gert Jan Koopman, the Director-General for the European Commission’s Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Oana-Cristina Popa, Ambassador of the European Union to Montenegro, and Federica Mogherini, Director of the College of Europe, among others.

As well as this, the summit will feature peer-to-peer workshops covering a range of topics including environmental protection, communication, project management, and human rights. These workshops will serve as valuable platforms for YEAs to further enhance their skills and knowledge while sharing their know-how.
