YEAs attended Sarajevo Film Festival third year in a row


The Sarajevo Film Festival, held from August 16 to 22, 2024, showcased the talents of filmmakers and activists from across Southeast Europe. This year, for the third year in a row, the YEAs participated in the festival’s Human Rights Day segment of the program, emphasizing their commitment to social issues. Together with the YEAs, young volunteers from the Institute for Youth Development “Kult” from Bosnia and Herzegovina, participated in the program.


The festival featured a dynamic agenda, including workshops on human rights advocacy and panel discussions addressing statelessness and the impact of populism on fundamental rights. Participants engaged in a “Memory Walk” through Sarajevo, reflecting on the city’s historical significance.

Collaborating with organizations like UN Women and the Regional Cooperation Council, the festival successfully enriched discussions around human rights.

The 2024 Sarajevo Film Festival proved to be a milestone event for the YEAs, as they continue to build bridges, foster dialogue, and leave a lasting impact on their communities and beyond.
