International Youth Conference: European Values for the Future of the See Countries 


This year, alongside an incredible roster of young leaders, our Young European Ambassadors Adrijana Nikitović from Serbia, Arlind Hamza from Kosovo*, Tarik Bico from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kleidi Memo from Albania joined the 22nd edition of the International Youth Conference “EUROPEAN VALUES FOR THE FUTURE OF THE SEE REGION,” that took place from the 26th to 30th of September 2024 in the town of Krusevo, North Macedonia.


YEA spent four days promoting the core values of unity, cooperation, and regional transformation by actively engaging in the dynamic sessions and discussions throughout the conference. Their participation offered a unique opportunity for participants to gain fresh perspectives on European integration, youth empowerment, and intercultural dialogue, all while fostering closer regional cooperation.

Our YEA from Serbia, Adrijana Nikitovic, moderated the first real talk session named Left, Right or Forward: Youth Vote Steering the Political Future of the EU and the Balkans Amid Radical Tensions. This session dived into the European elections in EU and the Balkans, with a spotlight on the rise of radical movements in Europe. It also high-lighted the crucial role of young people in political decision-making and EU integration and discussed how youth initiatives can drive positive change in the region.

For over two decades, this conference has been a vital platform for fostering dialogue, unity, and regional cooperation in Southeast Europe. In a time when young people are at the forefront of shaping our future, the conference served as a unique space where emerging leaders can exchange ideas, challenge the status quo, and work together towards a European future for the region. This event empowered us to strengthen our shared values, confront the challenges of today, and collectively build a more connected and prosperous future.
