EU integration, Environmental protection, Human rights, Health and well-being
My name is Layla and I am a human rights activist from Sarajevo. I am a third-year student and my major is Political Science and International Relations, with a minor in International Law and Diplomacy. My spheres of interest are human rights, health and well-being, as well as environmental protection. I have dedicated my entire life, with formal and informal education, to humanitarian work and activism. I have worked and volunteered at the Red Cross during the entire COVID-19 pandemic. Health and well-being sector has become an important part of my activist path and I strive to make healthcare available and accessible to everyone. Being active in environmental protection and sustainability has changed my perception of activism through engagement in projects and initiatives regarding the effects of climate change and environmental pollution on human health. I have done two Erasmus+ exchanges, and numerous educational workshops revolving around my three key areas of interest, including the fight against human trafficking.
I wish to work with young people more extensively towards meaningful change, not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also worldwide.
