The EU Ambassador to North Macedonia, David Geer, visited the city of Bitola where he was hosted by the Young European Ambassador (YEA) Dona Srdikj Lazarevska among others.
Following his meeting with Bitola Mayor, Toni Konjanovski, at the municipality, Ambassador Geer visited the exhibition on human rights called “You look beautiful today” and met with the author Simona Jovaneska. When Ambassador Geer visited the Army Hall culture monument restored under the EU’s Local and Regional Competitiveness Project, he was joined by Dona Srdikj Lazarevska. “It was my great honour to host the Ambassador in my hometown and to have the chance to show him the city, to talk about the challenges faced by youth in Bitola, and to discuss further collaboration. This was truly a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to our next meeting,” the YEA said.
Ambassador Geer concluded his visit with a walk through the streets of Bitola old town, meeting with citizens in the cafés.
