EU integration, Environmental protection, Human rights
Hi! I am Tamara, a 21-year-old International Relations student and an activist. As a Youth delegate of the Republic of Serbia to the UN 2022/23, I am a member of the official delegation, responsible for advocating the interests of Serbian youth and representing the official position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning Serbia’s foreign and domestic policies in the UN. As the Regional Director for Balkans of ‘28. Jun’, I am leading projects mainly in humanitarian work, but also ecology, education, and advocacy for women’s rights. I founded a youth organization ‘Community for change’ which aims to further raise awareness and assist in reducing poverty, hunger and the impact of climate change, best known for installing the first community fridge in the region. Our current focus is on assisting companies with corporate social responsibility by providing innovative solutions. As a recipient of the ERASMUS+ scholarship, I was able to spend a semester studying International Relations at Sciences Po, Paris. Furthermore, I organized projects contributing to more sustainable cities and communities, such as recycling machines that feed stray dogs in Belgrade and Banja Luka or the ecological basketball courts made from recycled materials.
