My name is Matija Sekulic. I’m 19, and I am from Podgorica, Montenegro. I am a first-year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Donja Gorica. I have a number of hobbies – from sports to art – that I still enjoy doing to this day. I’ve been performing solo and choral singing for four years, and one of the most significant songs I’ve ever recorded is ‘Youth Anthem,’ for International Youth Day. I’ve been participating in folklore activities for six years and been a scout for almost a year. I was acquainted with the professions of journalism and reporting through the globally awarded media literacy campaign “Let’s Choose What We Watch,” coordinated by UNICEF, and Montenegro’s Agency for Electronic Media. I improved, among other things, my public performance and writing skills by being a guest on various television shows, and blogging on TV Vijesti’s Internet portal, as well as on the ‘Voices of Youth’ website. I’m also one of the editors for the ‘Wadada News Montenegro’ television news show for children and youths. I have various interests including books, foreign languages, photography, films, music, and digital marketing – which I’m currently learning about on my own. At the end of the day, I envision myself becoming a successful lawyer.
