Janja Janković

Hi, I am Janja and I am 19, born in Šabac, Serbia. I have been an actress since my earliest childhood days and starred in over 30 plays at Šabac Theatre. In 2016, I placed second overall in the National History Competition and won quite a few Serbian Language Knowledge competitions. In 2017, I directed a play at the Šabac Theatre titled “Maturanti u očima Pepeljuge’’. I have been playing volleyball for my hometown’s club since 2013, and my team represented Serbia at the 2019 Easter Tournament in Sankt Veit, Karten, Austria. In 2018, I began my music career, and often perform on stage. My favorite subject in school was English and I have completed English-language courses in London. I love to write, and I started my own blog in March 2020 (https://janjaslife.wordpress.com/). I volunteer in civil society organizations and am a member of my hometown’s youth council, where I organize events for young people such as carnivals, concerts, and courses. I am the president of Šabačka Gimnazija’s student parliament and wish to study international relations. I am very concerned about the education system and human rights, and my biggest dream is to show young people from the Western Balkans what Europe has to offer – education, faith, friends, and empowerment.
