International Relations, Human Rights
“My name is Hadzera Selimovic, and I am a fourth-year student of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Buckingham in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. My commitment to youth activism began at the age of 12 and has since took my across borders, both as a volunteer and a coordinator. In 2019, as a participant in the US Embassy Youth Leadership Program, I discovered my passion for diplomacy and leadership. In 2022, I continued my commitment to civic engagement as a BOLD Civic Engagement Fellow in Nebraska, Omaha, gaining valuable insights into community empowerment. I am also a TEDxYouth organizer, the project that was supported by grant from the US Embassy in Sarajevo and Friedrich Neumann Foundation.
Beyond my community engagements, my passion for international relations led me to participate in the ERASMUS+ programme, where I spent six enlightening months at the University of Salzburg. Today, I serve as a junior analyst at an international consultancy company with a specific focus on the Middle East, adding a valuable layer to my diverse professional portfolio. My journey is a testament to my dedication to both academic excellence and active engagement in my community and beyond.”
