{"id":861441,"date":"2022-10-14T14:45:04","date_gmt":"2022-10-14T12:45:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/?p=861441"},"modified":"2022-10-14T14:45:04","modified_gmt":"2022-10-14T12:45:04","slug":"european-commission-vice-president-schinas-underlines-full-eu-support-for-migration-management-on-visit-to-bosnia-and-herzegovina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/en\/news\/european-commission-vice-president-schinas-underlines-full-eu-support-for-migration-management-on-visit-to-bosnia-and-herzegovina\/","title":{"rendered":"European Commission Vice-President Schinas underlines full EU support for migration management on visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">European Commission<b> <\/b>Vice-President Margaritis<b> <\/b>Schinas visited Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of a visit to four Western Balkans countries with the aim of engaging with partners in the region, better understanding the situation on the ground and exploring how to address the rising number of irregular border crossings along the Western Balkans route, in a spirit of partnership and cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">During his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vice-President Schinas announced a new project, worth <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u20ac<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">39.5 million, focused on supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina in mixed migration flowsand border management. As part of the tour in BiH he also visited a reception centre hosting irregular migrant in U\u0161ivak near Sarajevo. As well as meeting with migrants there, Vice-President Schinas was able to observe the improved conditions in the centre as a result of EU support, including a sewing room in the centre, which was the starting point for a successful new migrant-led fashion label, \u2018No Nation Fashion\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>European Commission Vice-President
