The reconstruction of the fa\u00e7ade cost more than BAM\u00a0200,000 and the entire reconstruction as well as the running costs for the temporary reception centre, totalling more than \u20ac1 million, were financed by the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The city of Bihac\u00a0began accommodating migrant and refugee families with children in December 2018. Since then, the Bori\u0107i former student dormitory has been used as an accommodation centre for families with children, unaccompanied and separated children and other vulnerable migrants. The building is a landmark for the citizens of Bihac and the renovation means that when the site is not needed anymore for hosting migrants, the building will be returned to the city in a better state than before.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The European Union has provided financial and technical assistance worth over \u20ac100 million to support Bosnia and Herzegovinian authorities to ensure adequate assistance to migrants, asylum seekers and refugees. The Bori\u0107i reception centre currently accommodates 243 migrants, mostly families with children from Afghanistan, Burundi, and Cuba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 21 July, the newly renovated Bori\u0107i migrant reception centre in Bihac was inaugurated.
