Activists carried banners that read \u201cLaw on same-sex unions\u201d, \u201cLaw on gender identity\u201d, \u201cWe are not even close\u201d.<\/p>\n&nbsp;\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During Pride Week, a series of events on the human rights of LGBT+ persons\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.rs\/buducnost-prajda-u-srbiji-tribina-u-novom-sadu\/\">in Serbia is planned<\/a>. A parade has been announced for Saturday, September 9, and its route is planned through the centre of Belgrade. \u201cThe current moment is not at all optimistic for the LGBT+ community and the situation is much worse compared to the previous period,\u201d said Belgrade Pride director Goran Mileti\u0107 at the opening.<\/p>\n&nbsp;\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He reminded that last year the government banned the planned route of Europride and that it abandoned the adoption of the Law on Same-Sex Unions. Some of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.rs\/govor-ambasadora-ziofrea-na-otvaranju-konferencije-o-ljudskim-pravima\/\">basic values of the European Union are equality and human rights<\/a>. Through the motto \u201cunited in diversity\u201d, the EU wants to express solidarity, defend equality and love in all forms.
