{"id":3167841,"date":"2023-05-05T14:30:39","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T14:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/25-refugee-families-receive-keys-to-new-rhp-homes-in-serbia\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T15:54:02","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T15:54:02","slug":"25-refugee-families-receive-keys-to-new-rhp-homes-in-serbia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webalkans.eu\/en\/25-refugee-families-receive-keys-to-new-rhp-homes-in-serbia\/","title":{"rendered":"25 refugee families receive keys to new RHP homes in Serbia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a picturesque part of the city of \u010ca\u010dak in Serbia, near the banks of the river Morava, keys to 25 newly-built Regional Housing Programme (RHP) apartments were delivered to refugee families on 27 April.<\/p>\n&nbsp;\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the beneficiaries themselves, the ceremony was attended by Nata\u0161a Stanisavljevi\u0107, Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia; Gerhard Salzer, Programme Manager at the European Union Delegation to Serbia; Milun Todorovi\u0107, Mayor of \u010ca\u010dak, and Du\u0161an Kova\u010devi\u0107, Head of the Public Sector Projects Implementation Unit Ltd., amongst others.<\/p>\n&nbsp;\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Congratulating the beneficiaries on their new homes, Commissioner Stanisavljevi\u0107 also proudly shared the achievements of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia (KIRS) with regard to the delivery of new housing units under the RHP:\u00a0<em>\u201cIn the coming weeks, we will gradually exceed the number of 7 000 families accommodated,\u201d<\/em><em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>she said<em><strong>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n&nbsp;\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gerhard Salzer, Programme Manager at the European Union Delegation to Serbia, underlined the importance of EU support for the RHP.\u00a0<em>\u201cThe EU has been supporting these activities for years to provide housing solutions for more than 30 000 people who lost their homes during the 1990\u2019s conflicts in former Yugoslavia.
