Now the EU-funded construction of two new apartment buildings has entered its second phase, and families are expected to move in September 2023.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the construction of the two new buildings in Suvi Do\/Suhadoll village, the EU\u2019s project providing housing to displaced and socially vulnerable families in\u00a0Gra\u010danica\/Gra\u00e7anic\u00eb\u00a0worth \u20ac2.5 million has already completed the renovation of 22 apartments, and will therefore improve the lives of 56 families in total.<\/p>\n&nbsp;\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project is being implemented in cooperation with Gra\u010danica\/Gra\u00e7anic\u00eb Municipality and Kosovo\u2019s Ministry for Communities and Return, which is contributing an additional \u20ac100,000 towards the construction works.<\/p>\n&nbsp;\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 2002, the EU in Kosovo has invested more than \u20ac77 million to support return and reintegration processes and improve the livelihoods of non-majority communities. More specifically, from 2016 to 2022, the EU invested\u00a0\u20ac6 million in the construction of social housing to provide accommodation for displaced persons living in collective centres in\u00a0\u0160trpce\/Sht\u00ebrpc\u00eb\u00a0and Gra\u010danica\/Gra\u00e7anic\u00eb municipalities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are 34 families who have lived in the Padali\u0161te\/Padallishte collective centre in\u00a0Gra\u010danica\/Gra\u00e7anic\u00eb\u00a0municipality in Kosovo for more than 20 years.
